Pre-Registration Underway for Football and Cheerleading
If you have a rising K-6 student, you can sign him or her up for Westside’s inaugural season of Upward Flag Football or Cheerleading. Registration forms are available on the info table in the mall. Just complete the form and drop it in the box just outside of the entrance to the Worship Center (along the driveway). You have until July 18 to complete the early registration process. Evaluation of kids’ playing ability will begin Saturday, July 18. For more info, contact the church office at 336-524-0098.

Special Opportunity For Children to Work on Awana Books
Children in Sparks or T&T have an opportunity to work on their Awana books this summer. During the Wednesday prayer study (6:30-8 p.m. each week), Elaine Shepherd will be on hand to assist kids with their Awana work. Children should bring their Bible, workbook, vest/shirt and club dues in order to earn Awana bucks that can be redeemed at a special summer Awana store. For info, contact Elaine at 336-329-9169.

Looking for “Mr. Right”? New Small Group Can Help
A new young women’s small group will meet this summer to discuss “Lady in Waiting,” a book by Jackie Kendall and Debby Jones. The 10-week study is a comprehensive look at the Book of Ruth and contains practical application for any woman, whether singled, married, widowed or divorced.

Donations Needed to Complete Work on New Football Field
Work is underway for Westside’s new recreation field, which will serve as site of this fall’s inaugural Upward Flag Football season. In order to make the season a reality, approximately $1,500 is needed to complete the work on the field. If you would like to donate to this project, just put your contribution in the offering box and mark on the check and/or envelope that the gift is for the football field. New Small Groups Now Meeting on Sunday Mornings
To compliment the current "Faith Without Works" study of the Book of James, Westside is offering several special small groups which will more closely study the book, expanding on the Sunday morning messages.

Two of the groups meet on Sunday at the Big House. The first adult group, to be led by mark Miller, will be offered from 9 to 10 am (during the first worship service) at the Big House. The second Sunday morning group will meet during the second worship service, from 10:30 to 11:45 am. It will be lead by Rick Snider. In addition, Westside's "Friday Night Live" small group is also examining the Book of James. For more info about the Friday group, contact Chris Shepherd at 336-558-7500.

Study on Prayer Now Underway Each Wednesday
It's not too late to join Westside's special Wednesday evening summer series,"When God's People Pray". The 6:30 to 8:00 pm, weekly study is jam-packed with stories of how God has answered prayers in exciting and encouraging ways. Childcare is provided for age 4 and under, and elementary-aged children can attend and work on their AWANA verses during that time.

Jun 09 Mary and Mathew Long - PRAISE!
You may remember a few days ago, Matthew Long and his mother Mary were in an automobile accident and were life-flighted to Duke.

Shirley May just let us know that Matthew got to come home yesterday afternoon, and his mother is being released today from Duke.

The Lord is good! Continue to be in prayer for a quick recovery for Mary and Mathew.
Jun 09 Alan Hagar - Cancer
Please pray for Kim Gray’s second cousin Alan Hager. He has been diagnosed with lung cancer & cancer of the pancreas. He is in his late 40’s . Please also pray for his parents they are not dealing with the news very well. Alan has been to John Hopkins and they have not given him very much hope.
