Free Adoption Information Seminar
Join us Saturday, May 19, 2012 to hear experts discuss adoption including domestic adoption, international adoption and adoption through the foster care system. Guest speakers include members from the following organizations: Children’s Home Society, Bethany Christian Services, Carolina Adoption Services and America World Adoption Association. Help Send Kids to Camp this Summer
Westside has several youth wanting to attend Youth Week at Fort Caswell this summer, and they need your help to get them there! Extraordinary Women Conference Oct. 5-6, 2012
Kim Gray of Westside is organizing a trip for women to attend the national Extraordinary Women Conference October 5-6 in Roanoke, VA. The event will feature a variety of nationally-known speakers and artists, including Candace Cameron Bure (stared on ABC’s hit television series, Full House), Lysa TerKurst, Casting Crowns, and more! Mission Opportunity: Jamaica 2012
Westside Fellowship helps support missionaries around the world. The Gray family will be traveling to Jamaica June 15-22, 2012 to help support this team. You are invited to join them on this trip. The cost will be approximately $1,200. Wednesday is Family Night
Each Wednesday is now “Family Night” at Westside Fellowship, with something that evening for everyone in your family. The evening begins with a meal for the whole family at 5:30 p.m. Children from age 2 through 5th grade can enjoy the Awana Club from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and middle school students can participate in Downpour from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Big House, and Flood meets for all high school students from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Barn (located behind the Big House), and teaching for adults is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Clear your calendar and join us each Wednesday!
Extra Extra Read All About It!
We are expanding our library. We are asking you to donate any gently used books you no longer need. We are accepting all types of books. Please follow the golden rule; books should be in good condition with no writing, highlighting, missing pages and both covers must be intact. (While all book types will not be placed directly in the library, we can use non-Christian books to gain used book credit and “purchase” books for the library.) You Can Help Local Families In Need
The Westside Fellowship Benevolence Ministry provides short-term assistance to families in need. Recently, families have been provided assistance with rent and mortgage payments, utility bills, and educational expenses. The Benevolence Fund is nearly depleted, and you can help by donating directly to the fund. Just make your check out to Westside Fellowship and indicate that the gift is for “local missions” or “benevolence.” You can also give by clicking on the “donate” button above.
Encourage Others
Do you know of someone who is in need of a little encouragement? If so, allow the Westside Card Ministry Team reach out to them with a card of encouragement from the church. To let the team know about people in need of encouragement, send their name and address to cards@westsidefellowship.org.
You Can Send Prayer Requests Anytime
If you have a prayer request to share, just send an e-mail to prayerlist@lists.westsidefellowship.org.
Your request will be shared with those on the church e-mail list and you can rest assured that your church family will be praying for you.
